How to use Kujji
Everything runs in your browser. There is nothing to install, nothing to sign up for, and nothing to download before you can print.
Three minutes to a printed sheet
- Open the tool for the skill you are teaching. From the home page, or from the Math and Printables menus.
- Set the parameters. Number range, digits, question count, layout, paper size. The preview updates as you change them.
- Or use a ready-made set. Each tool page has a row of presets. One click configures everything and generates the sheet.
- Check the preview. It shows the real page, at true paper proportions. Scroll down to see the answer key page.
- Print. Use the Print button, or Print with answers if the tool has an answer key.
The print settings that matter
Print at 100% scale
Turn off “fit to page”, “shrink to fit” and “scale to fit”. This matters most for the printable paper tools, where a rescaled page means a grid that is no longer the size it claims to be.
- Turn off browser headers and footers to keep the page clean. The sheet has its own footer with the settings and seed.
- Choose the right paper. Letter and A4 are laid out separately, not scaled. Pick what is actually in the printer.
- Saving a PDF. Choose “Save as PDF” as the print destination. The result is the same page, as a file.
- Printing only the answer key. In the print dialog, set the page range to the answer key page — it is always the last page.
Reproducing a sheet later
Every sheet prints its settings and a seed number in the footer, for example seed 4821. Enter the same settings and the same seed and you get exactly the same questions. In practice you rarely need to type anything: use Copy link and the URL carries the whole configuration. Bookmark it, or paste it into your planning document.
This is the feature teachers use most. A pupil who was absent, a child who lost their sheet, or a parent asking for the same practice at home — all of them are one link away from the identical page.
Grade names and ages
Pages use US grade names with an age range, for example “Grade 3 · ages 8–9”. The age range is the reliable guide across countries:
- US Grade 3 is roughly Year 4 in England, Wales and Australia, and Primary 4 in Scotland.
- US Kindergarten is roughly Reception or Year 1.
- Letter paper is the US default; A4 is the default everywhere else. Kujji picks a sensible default from your browser language and you can change it.
Accessibility
- Every control has a visible label and works with the keyboard alone.
- Nothing on a printed sheet depends on colour.
- Questions are laid out in reading order, so a screen reader follows the same sequence as the eye.
- If you need a larger print size, reduce the question count or the number of columns — both increase the space per question.
Questions
Nothing happens when I click Print.
Check that a preview has been generated — the preview area should show a white page. If it is blank, click Generate. If it is still blank, your browser may be blocking the script; Kujji needs JavaScript because the sheets are generated in your browser rather than downloaded.
The grid paper is the wrong size.
Your print dialog is scaling the page. Set it to 100% and turn off “fit to page”. Measure five squares afterwards to confirm.
The answer key printed on the same page as the questions.
The answer key is designed to start on a new page. If your printer puts them together, check that “page breaks” or “print backgrounds” options are not forcing content to reflow.
Can I use these commercially?
Yes, for classroom and tutoring use. You may print as many copies as you need for the pupils you teach. Please do not resell the sheets or republish the tools.
